This
little guy began as a promotional project for the Maui, Hawaii Humane
Society sponsored by a local gallery. Aware of all the various sculptures
of cats, I decided to come up with something beyond the ordinary.
I
took an occurrence very common to cat lovers. Proud to show what great
hunters they are, their victims, birds, and all manner of vermin,
are laid at our feet as testament to their prowess and as a tribute
to us, their master (or so we think we are) Food is their primary
driving force and as such, the greatest of gifts. Don't know of any
other animal who does this. It's a true act of love. It's a gift.
And this sculpture is the result.
