If you're over the age of 50, you'll recognize this title as a classic definition of a temporary memory loss. It's really a matter of finding a bit of data from a life time of input and old age is relative to the amount of data we've stored.
Much like a computer, the closer our hard drive comes to reaching capacity, the longer it takes to find specific information. Our operating system processor ages as well. We find our minds can't handle multiple tasks and our processing speed slows. We become singularly oriented and easily confused as is shown with the figure's wrongly buttoned coat. Accepting this factor of aging can be easier though if we look at it with humor and find the ability to laugh at ourselves. This sculpture was me looking at myself and having a little chuckle.
Bronze, approximately 19" H, 7" W, 8" D. Limited Edition of 50
