Actively engaged in dialogue and gesturing over past surfing experiences, the young men anxiously approach the beach with hurried steps. The young girl excitedly points to the surf calling out to her companions to look. The dog, with wagging tongue, sets the pace and leads the group. The thrill of their expectations fills the air with anticipation.. It is that spirit this work is meant to impart. This sculpture was created for a beach front monument as a tribute to a family oriented Southern California surfing Mecca.
